Tanline

Prep & post-care

Here's everything that'll help your tan turn out great, no stress involved.

Before you tan

Give yourself a good exfoliate about 24 hours before your appointment, it's honestly the single biggest thing for a smooth, even tan. If you've got an exfoliating mitt, use that instead of an oily scrub, since the oil can leave a residue behind. Shaving is best done the day before or earlier rather than right before you see me. A light moisturizer the night before is totally fine, just save the heavy oils and body butters for after. Then on the day itself, skip lotion, oil, and deodorant so there's nothing for the solution to fight with, and throw on something loose and dark for your appointment.

Day of

I'll let you know your rinse time based on the formula we used for your appointment, and really all you have to do until then is just hang out and try to stay dry. No sweating it out at the gym, but otherwise go live your life.

After you rinse

Keep up with moisturizing every day, it makes a real difference in how nicely the color holds and fades. For the first day or two, keep your showers on the shorter, cooler side. And sunscreen's just a good habit to have going in general, tan or not.

Sensitive skin

If your skin tends to be sensitive, just mention it in your booking notes and I'll happily patch test you first, genuinely no big deal. And if a rash or anything that looks like a reaction ever comes up afterward, please go see a dermatologist rather than texting me about it. I'd always rather you get looked at by someone who can actually diagnose it than have me guess over text.
